With its inspiration drawn from the elegant form of morning glory petals, the Bamboo Leisure chair showcases a seat back and surface that mimic the unfolding of petals. The woven surface not only adds a touch of natural texture but also utilizes the inherent toughness and elasticity of bamboo, providing users with a sense of comfort and security.

What sets the Bamboo Leisure chair apart is its use of natural and environmentally friendly bamboo as the primary material. The rounded bamboo frame creates a serene and inviting atmosphere, while the woven surface maximizes the bamboo's strength and flexibility, offering users a relaxed and comfortable seating experience.

Constructed using a combination of wrapping and cutting techniques, the chair's frame is made entirely of round bamboo poles. The joints are reinforced by bending and winding the bamboo, ensuring stability and durability. The seat surface and back are meticulously hand-braided, with the joints connected through insertion and winding.

Measuring at 1325mm x 1240mm x 1170mm, the Bamboo Leisure chair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its triangular support structure provides stability, while the ample seating space allows users to fully relax. Additionally, the lightweight nature of bamboo makes the chair easily portable.

The Bamboo Leisure chair project began in Shenyang in November 2020 and was completed in January 2021. The design team, consisting of Wei Jingye, Li Jiashu, Bei Yunong, Wang Yingchun, and Han Xiaolu, overcame the challenge of combining the round bamboo frame with the woven surface, resulting in a seat that is both comfortable and visually striking.

The Bamboo Leisure chair has been recognized for its exceptional design and functionality, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is given to creations that exhibit outstanding design, practicality, and innovation, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
